Design directions

Four complete approaches using the same portfolio content. They differ in density, image behavior and how explicitly the visual language echoes diagrams, archives, material strata or a minimal exhibition index.

A / Recommended

Mineral Index

Mineral red, chalk white and graphite. A collapsible tree index, staggered images and fine technical lines. Closest to the spatial logic of the reference while remaining distinct and easy to use.

  • Strongest identity
  • Good desktop and mobile translation
  • Implemented as the main prototype

B / Experimental

Signal / Noise

A text-first black index where images surface as large temporary signals on hover or focus. It makes the archive and operational image themes explicit, but asks more attention from visitors.

  • Most conceptually specific
  • Excellent for desktop encounters
  • More fragile on touch devices

C / Quiet

Pale Strata

A stone-grey editorial system with a horizontal image sequence, generous margins and restrained captions. It is the easiest to browse, but less memorable and less related to the density of the reference.

  • Calmest presentation
  • Works well for galleries and press
  • Least distinctive direction

Minimal Index

The original spatial Minimal Index reduced to its essentials: two balanced groups of small project records sit at opposite sides of an empty centre. There are no dominant labels; clicking a project softly blends its image into the page.

  • User-selected direction
  • Original scale and orientation retained
  • Click-only blur and crossfade transition
