Sundering Vale Panorama

In Sundering Vale Panorama, mined landscapes and lost flora are translated into concrete reliefs. Zábrodský treats concrete as a medium of memory: fossil-like imprints preserve traces of sites altered or erased by extraction, while metal frames hold the surfaces between image, map and artefact. The series asks viewers to imagine the present environment as a geological layer still being formed, where biological matter may disappear but the durable products of industrial culture remain compressed into future rock.
